$30,000 - $40,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Verify ownership, legal descriptions, and restrictions by analyzing liens, maps, public records, leases, plat books, agreements, surveys, and contracts
• Issue title policy and transfer title ownership after reviewing all closing documents to ensure title commitments have been satisfied and preparing a closing statement
• Conduct property search to check for real estate title defects or issues, such as claims, liens, mortgages, deeds, wills, or fraud
• Work effectively throughout the closing process with a variety of industry professionals such as real estate agents, settlement agents, title insurance agents, law firms, escrow officers, closing agents, paralegals, and escrow companies
• Present deed to new owners after recording all legal documents at the county and federal level

• Conduct a search of real estate records
• Travel to and from county offices to pick up and deliver documents

Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office Suite proficient
• A high school diploma is a requirement, but a college degree is preferred

• Title industry experience is not required, however, additional opportunities exist for candidates with experience in title and/or escrow, mortgage processing, or legal research
• A Kansas title producer license is not required, but the opportunity will be given to obtain licensing
• Prefer process-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
